Family Guy Strikes a Blow at Palin

Palin seems to have a problem with Family Guy because they made fun of her.
Family Guy is a satirical comedy. Why doesn’t anyone understand what that means?

Satire is defined by the dictionary as the “use of wit to criticize behavior: the use of wit, especially irony, sarcasm, and ridicule, to criticize faults.”

Do we understand that the definition of satire is actually defined as attacking, ridiculing, and criticizing faults using wit?

Just because the satire attacks something you personally enjoy does not change the fact that it is still satire. If you have the ability to enjoy satire, we should all take the time to enjoy both attacks on other people and ourselves, or we will end up only enjoying the ability to ridicule others.

As for Rush Limbaugh, Palin herself said that what he said was OK, because it was Satire, yet she doesn’t like it when Family Guy does the same thing? She must be confused by the definition of satire as well.

It’s called a dictionary, Palin. They sell them at these wonderful places call “Book Stores”, where a person can purchase, for reasonable sums of money, items called “Books”. It’s a scary word, I know. Say it with me: BOOK. But in reality, these items are a fountain of knowledge, and aren’t scary at all. Inside these books are words, which make up sentences, paragraphs, and even chapters. Can you say CHAPTER?

Sorry for the Delay

While there was a slight delay during the holidays for regular comics, I’m back on track again. As of this week, I am posting on a MWF schedule, but it might change in the future to only twice a week. It depends on how focused I can be.

Thanks for visiting.

P.S. If you like the comics, feel free to use the “share” links below each comic. You can post any of these comics on Twitter, Reddit, Digg, Facebook, and much more by simply clicking the share button. It takes all the work out of a good deed, with all the pleasure of spreading joy (or hate, if you look at the comics in that light) with all your friends and family. You can also click “Email Subscription” to get all of the comics and updates in your email, or you can click “Subscribe” to add theohnozone.com to your RSS feeds.

New Sci-Fi Thriller

1

There is a marketing strategy over on topwebcomics.com that I am taking part in. In essence, they are promoting a new novel, which looks rather interesting. I’m probably going to pick it up in the near future. My part in this marketing strategy is to blog about it and in return they are going to give me some free advertising on their website. Pretty sweet. After I get a chance to read it, I will definitely post something else about it.

For now, here is a little blurb about the book.

“The president of the United States is dead. He was murdered in the morning sunlight by a four-year-old boy…”
Welcome to J.C. Hutchins’ SF thriller 7th Son: Descent, a novel set in present day featuring human cloning, dangerous technologies, and “beyond Top Secret” government conspiracies. I’m letting everyone know about an exciting publication that started as an online podcast, and now is being sold in stores everywhere. And whats more amazing than a fellow internet creator bringing his works from the free digital format to the printed page, is that he’s still publishing everything for free online. If you want to check this out, listen to the book for free, read it for free, or even buy the book, check out his site over here: JCHutchins.net You could even join the ranks of his online army by participating in Warvember just like I am.
